I like humble pie with a little cream but no sugar if you please. I was previously an SBI subscriber. And I did make a comment on your SBI scam article. Mine was the one about it’s just webhosting for $24 a month. And true the last time I bought webhosting $24 a month was pretty much the norm. Well I watched Vic’s video on the hooked on rc airplanes and it answered a lot of the questions I had about why my adsense wasn’t performing the way I wanted it to. Well to make a long story short, I left SBI, got my money back and changed over to a different webhost. My site is mostly up now with a few broken links to fix but most importantly, I understand why my site will never make much money (low CPC and CTR). My site is related to my profession so I won’t be giving it up. Through Gizz and Vic and Court, I’m starting to understand the value of search traffic and real SEO. Finally, I want to say thank you for your article. It was your article that turned me onto finding out why my site wasn’t performing to my expectation. I guess you can’t be a sword without going though the flame.
Hey Chris – I’m glad you listened past Vic’s style and actually heard what he was saying that guy really does know his stuff. Someone (I have no idea who) said its important to remain teachable – and I think a lot of the commentators on THAT post prove that (in their inability to deal with new concepts). You might want to check out http://www.workingnomad.com/forum/ (free btw!) – there are a couple of expat types in Asia making money from ESL sites – might be helpful for you… (Im midlifetravel over there)
Thanks for your reply. I actually don’t mind Vic’s style; I was in the US infantry and have been around both Puerto Ricans and offensive language before. I also searched around for your quote and the closest I could find was Aldous Huxley, “Experience teaches only the teachable,” from Tragedy and the Whole Truth. Also I had one question for you. How are you liking Market Samurai? I bought the beta and am liking it tons more than the SBI brainstorm tool. The SEO competition analysis is pretty cool. Just wish they’d hurry up and finish the other modules.
Anyways again, thanks for the reply and best wishes for your passive make money online goal.
I love Market Samurai- the SEO competition is worth the price regardless of the rest of it! Vic is probably the only Puerto Rican ex-US military that I know online – its weird the people you meet online ! I guess its getting cold in Japan now- still 27C in Perth today!
